For the first time in Dubai, a city that seeks to be the smartest in the world, Instacar launched its innovative new services in transport sector in Emirates, Coinciding with the UAE Innovation Week It launched rental car service via smart phones, the first of its kind in the GCC,
Launch of such a service comes in line with vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai aimed at enabling the citizens and residents in the UAE to accomplish their transactions via smart phones and making Dubai the world’ smartest city. It also comes within the commitment to finding smart solutions for transport sector in the country and the region since most of the youth noticeably
rely on smart phones.
The leading national Emirati company “Instacar” provides its services through ios and android platforms and later on will be available on the other platforms. This service allow the customer to lock and unlock the vehicle automatically via the mobile app, in addition to communicating with the main branch.
Currently, Instacar provides 45 hatchback and sedan vehicles, as
other types will join the service shortly to meet needs of all clients. A car can be rented for Dhs19 per hour.
On the occasion of its inception in Dubai, Instacar offers 100 gift vouchers for the first 100 subscribers to motivate the customers to register in such innovative smart system.
Chief Operating Officer of Instacar, Manouj Kumar, said “launch of our smart services in Dubai, the city that is aspiring to become the smartest city ever in the world, mirrors the role that we take upon ourselves as an integrant element in transport systems of the city, in addition to keeping pace with Dubai vision in this field. It will contribute to facilitating transporting and reducing traffic congestion”
Subscription in the service is easy and simple and takes just few minutes. Submit all documentation as requested online to sign up. After completing the online registration process, the subscriber will receive a membership confirmation via email and SMS within 24 hours following verification of the documents.
All persons who are 21 and above and hold a valid driving licence, had no penalty points or major violations can use the smart application and rent a car from Instacar via their smart phones. Payment will be online, Kumar said.
He further said that the service serves instead of owning a car or using the public transport. The client can book the car he/she needs for the desired time and from the nearest place. Moreover, it saves maintenance and repairing costs and other services of cars, he added.
There are 25 outlets of Instacar distributed in various areas in Dubai from which the clients can rent the car they need for the time they want. They can rent a car for an hour disburdening renting a car for a full day. The company will open other branches and provide its services in other emirates as of beginning of the next year (2016)
The rented cars are refueled through VIP system available in EPPCO and ADNOC. Through an innovated refueling system, the driver is alarmed when the fuel indicator comes to the quarter. Each car is equipped with chip of RFID that works through radio waves to monitor refueling processes.
Furthermore, Instacar provides the road help service around the clock to help the clients in the event of breakdowns and emergencies.
